Have any of you tipped a pet sitter? I was given the advice that if the petsitter is the owner of their own company and therefore all of the money is going to straight to them that you would not tip. However if it is an employee of the owner of the company to tip them, but how much? I am getting a pet sitter over July 4 and want to make sure I do the right thing! Thanks!

I had a pet sitter when I was travelling a lot for my job, she came by to visit my place while I was gone, which I'm not sure if that's your situation or not, sounds like you're leaving your pet somewhere...
Anyway, I tipped her like a mail carrier or doorman - something nice around the end of the year/Christmas. Not sure that helps.... |

I am having someone actually come to my house for 5 days (one visit per day). I did a little more research and I found one site that said a tip is not nessarily expected but is nice to give one. They suggested 15%... |
