I'm not sure what the appropriate etiquette is for people who load things in your trunk. At the garden nursery I go to, you pay for your mulch and rocks at the register, then you drive your car around to the back, present your slip and a guy throws the bag(s) in your trunk. Do I tip him? If so, how much?

Jill, personally I would. Like at Brands Mart when you go to the loading dock and they get your appliance and help load it on your truck. I give them a 5 dollar bill. Now in your situation it sounds like you frequent the place, I think a couple of dollars would be fine. Its very nice of you to be concerned.
