HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!
(well, almost everyone... I'm sure LOA's will be MISERABLE, as all of her days are.. she probably went and stole some free candy from kids at an Easter Egg hunt, ate too many hard boiled eggs, and is in the outhouse cuz' her husband can't stand the smell)
anyway... hope EVERYONE ELSE has an EGG-stra special day!! |

Roast beef tenderloin (sauce to be determined)
Scalloped potatoes with cheddar cheese, rosemary and shallots
Roasted asparagus, maybe with a balsamic dressing
Dilled, buttered carrots |

I have to work 7am to 3pm, with the promise of getting out early. I figure around noon, I will then start my 1 week vacation. Heading to Daytona beach shores. I am almost packed shorts and bathing suits, one nice outfit incase we dine out. So easter is no big deal for me, but the folling week is.

Happy Easter to all of you. Kinda sucks cause I am away from home alone for job training, so this is the first Easter in awhile that I haven't been able to see my family. But, other than thatm I'm just kickin it in sunny Arizona! Y'all have a good one!!!!! |

Apparently, Easter weekend means a very large porportion of miserly white people and some generous black guests. Every one of my black tables this weekend, save one, left me 20% (and the one that didn't *might* have missadded the total) while only about 20% of my white guests left me the same. Not only did I actually get a $5 on $50 from a couple in their late 20s or early 30s, I got a *bunch* of 13 -14% tips (people seemed to round *down* every $10...in other words leaving $6 on $48).
I *did* get an awesome $25 on $52 from a college guy though. But there was a reason. The reason will be explained in a new thread called "Best comeback of the year so far"... |

Well for me Easter Brunch was awesome, while the whole weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night) sucked.
Families with kids not spending put's a damper on your sales, which affect the tipping average for weekend business. Oh well, at least brunch pulled me out of the mud. Waited on 60 people with 2400.00 in sales. Man, my feet are barking fierce. |

Wow, sounds like you guys all had pretty good weekends. I worked lunch and dinner friday, saturday and sunday and had a grand total of 23 tables all weekend. I missed two of my own family dinners and made less in three days than I normally would in one. I suppose easter is not your typical sports bar weekend though. At least we all got to have free prime rib on sunday because the dinner special was just not selling (mainly because there was no one to sell it to).

Minerva, I feel your pain, Friday night was great but Saturday was absolutely dreadful... By the way, my grandmothers name was Minerva!!! |
