I went back to my old restaurant last night. Some of you might know but it is a movie theater with a fancy semi fine dining restaurant. They offered me a summer job knowing I can only be there through August. I could use the activity. Don't really need the money but I like having something to do otherwise all that free time drives me crazy. And free time leads me to spending money. The old crew is almost all gone but they told me the new crew is pretty good. They also said the money has been phenomenal this year. Went last night and the food was amazing. I got hugs from all the managers and they bought all our drinks at $9 a martini (4 martinis each for 3 girls). 95% sure I'm gonna do it. Nervous about not doing it for 2 years. Any advice?

Just be yourself Jenna, I think you will do just fine.
After 1 year I went back to work a shift at the restaurant I started at, in the airport. I was a little nervous too. It was a snap, I didnt have one problem and it all came back like I never left.
Do the best you can, that is all you can do.

Last summer I sat on my ass. was so afraid I would spend al my money that by the time summer was over I still had $6000 left. Lol. Not much adventure to speak of though. The summer before I did work there though and managed to break even which is good. I was a brat though and would only work Saturday (cause of the great money), Mondays and Wednesdays. So I only worked 3 days a week every other day. If I go back this summer I'll work more because my boyfriend is always working now and has a long commute. might as well make some money...Maybe some doubles?

It's just like riding a bike; it comes back to you in no time flat.

I've left the field and gone back several times, yes it's a lot of back-breaking work, but it can be a lot of fun too.
Welcome Back!
Welcome Back to the other side of the house!
