Tonight at work the guy I work with is taking out the trash... comes back in and tells John to come outside with him to the dumpster. I could tell by the look on his face he was in full panic. They are outside for about 10 minutes and I'm getting nervous. They walk in the back door and tell me there is a bag of kittens in the dumpster and they can't reach it. By then there is about 6 other people in the store. All of them go out back and pull 6 puppies in a bag of water out of the dumpster. Cords still attached. One of the ladies that went out back took them home. We gave her 3 cans of evaporated milk and a baby bottle. (the owner told me over the phone to give anyone out there whatever they wanted... we also gave her two of everything she had bought. They guys that helped out got free beer!) These puppies were only hours old. They were part pitt... you could tell that by the faces. We figured momma had the babies and the owners figured some dog jumped over the fence... they had long hair. So they were going to kill the pups. I swear I hate who ever did this to these animals! There were 3 boys and 3 girls. I hope they make it. In a bag almost full of water. How cruel is that? The guy I work with knows my heart when it comes to animals so he didn't want to freak me out. But I knew. I hope whoever did this drowns. I know that's ill and mean but... Karma will get them!
So my friends say a quick wish for these puppies... they need it!

Awww, how awful, that is heart wrenching. That's why I had my female fixed, before she went into her first heat. She is a pit bull and god knows that there are enough of that breed unwanted or used for fighting. I also have a male pure bred with papers tea cup chihuahua. He is not fixed I may sire him out, since he is so beautiful red with green eyes. I also paid $650.00 for him he has good lines. He also never goes outside unattended, so the likelihood of him running off and procreating is nonexistant. I am what is called a responsible pet owner. My dogs are up to date on all of their vaccinations, get heart worm and flea medication every month. I feed them chicken soup for the soul dog food. I was told by my vet its much better than science diet or eukanuba, and much cheaper. My dogs have "their spots" on the couch, with blankets. Plus their own beds, heck we have birthday parties for our dogs. I came home early from vacation in april casue I missed my dogs.
People like that make me sick, they are going to burn in hell. How do you live with yourself after doing something so inhumane? Im sending out good vibes to the pups. Lets hope they are alright. Poor things.

Oh my Goodness! Saying prayers for the puppies, and also hoping that the people who did this get theirs too!!!

Surely hoping a police report was made, they can investigate, and give the jackasses what they deserve... jail time, fines and take away the other dogs... it IS animal cruelty and there are laws for it! (poor mommy dog is probably losing her mind right now too!) Puppy Prayers being sent your way!

Those poor babies, I'm so glad you found them! I hope they're okay.

Today we're going to a Pugnic. It's a party thrown by the New England Pug Rescue. We're taking our three pugs. Last year there were 550 pugs there. It's a hoot, check it out. http://www.pugrescueofnewengland.org/

We found our latest rescue Winston there, last year. Today we'll get his puggy bling and make him official. Toby and Brownie have leather collars with their names in rhinestone letters and today Winston will get his.

Last night I put a pot roast in the crockpot with red wine, rosemary from my garden, and onions and carrots. I'll start it before we leave and we'll come home to a dinner ready-made. No ranch, mayo or tartar sauce. We like real food.

Hugs for pugs!

Hey momma, I just put on a pot of sauce, with some meatballs, boneless chicken breast. Some oregano, onion powder (my crew hates onions)garlic, lets see fresh mushrooms and red peppers. How simple is that? We will have a few meals, and meatball subs, for less than the price of one meal out at Chile's. We wont have to deal with stupid, lazy servers. For someone who thinks they know everything, you would think to simplify their life they might Google an easy recipe like that. Talk about lazy..........
Oh yeah I will make a salad, but we wont be drowning it in ranch, I make a sweet and sour dressing with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You see we eat real food too. I have a 15 year old that is into physical fitness and good nutrition. I guess you learn what you live.

Don't forget the basil Jammie! LOL I have 8 basil plants in the yard and I have to make pesto before we get a hard freeze.

I love to cook and your sauce sounds awesome. I have to make one soon and maybe a lasagna. Lasagna takes me two days. One day for the sauce and meatballs and I assemble the lasagna the next day. I cook my sauce for hours. The crockpot is good for that because I can tell my husband what to throw in the pot if I'm at work and it's usually pretty good.

It's so much cheaper to cook than eat out, though I do love eating out. This meal will feed us tomorrow and give us a few lunches during the week. With the wine and the beef it probably cost $12.

My son's almost 15 YO and he's just graduating to real food. Dang kid thought chicken nuggets were haute cuisine for years and is just learning what real food is. 12 YO DD however, has been eating real food since she was born. Kids!

Off to the pugnic, enjoy your meal tonight!

I haven't heard how the puppies are doing yet... my day off.... YEAH FOR ME! But as soon as I do I will let you know.
I got up this morning and cooked hot italian sausage on the grill.... 36 sausages at sams club for less than $13... Hashbrowns for 2... less than a dollar...so a wonderful lunch cost me about $3.
I am a HUGE fan of hot peppers so I have been growing them in pots out back... who knew I was a farmer? Not me. Huge huge pot of chili soon!
Tonights dinner is beer though....

Let's see... found out that I'm really good at growing angel trumpets! My morning glories did great... now if only I could plant a beer tree I'd be really happy!
Puppy update. They were taken to the vet today. One is not doing very well. Vet gave it some antibiotics... has pnuemonia. He doubts that pup will make it. The other 5 are fat and happy snuggled in an electric blanket. Eating evaporated milk with Karo and an egg yolk mixed in. Plus some vitamins the vet gave her.
