I moved the thread to a better location. No need to keep the Tipping Area cluttered. |

I have enabled SECURE posting. Everyone participating will now have to create a username and password to get to post on the board. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I was forced to do so due to indiscriminate postings by a user who has nothing better to do. This will not prevent him/her from registering and continuing this process, but it will be more visible as you have to use a VALID email address. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks |

Now, Manny, I have a question. Why does my full name have to be displayed and my e-mail address accessible to everyone? I wonder if it can only be accessible to you, the administrator, but not to anybody who is browsing through the site. |

Kris, Ditto. It's a bad setup (showing people's names and email addresses) that will completely stifle most conversation on the board. stemor |

Well, I can turn that off... But again, this is one of those things. The more anonymous someone, the more they will feel like posting bad stuff. I felt that if your email and name are up there, you get to be cautious what you say ordo... No sweat. I will turn off EMAIL but I dunno about the name portion. I guess you can always use an alias... Only the TRUE EMAIL address is required for confirmation of your account... Thanks for the continued feedback and patronage. Once again, my apologies for all the inconveniences. You don't know what is like to try and please 4000+ users :-) I get about 50 emails a day from everyone with one topic 1000% opposite from someone elses topic. It is mind boggling. But I will try and make the majority happy ... |

Although I disabled those features, you will still see your full names on those posts that you had made between new board settings and me taking off the email/profile/full name. However, ALL new posts have PROFILES disabled. Please send feedback if you can. Thanks once again. |

Hi, Manny! Thanks for turning that off. I agree that you can have access to e-mail addresses, but I'd rather not have the rest of the world, if I so choose. Thanks for the accomodation. Kris |

Apology to all concerned Dear Rick, Yvonne, Manny, Kris, Kyle, and others What to Tip a Doctor for saving your life? Tipping a Horse?? Tipping Hollywood Legends Tipping Yourself! Customer With "Selective" Tourette's Syndrome I accidently posted twice. Sorry! Spell Check What to Tip a Rocket Scientist? People who do not list Test? Thanks for cleaning up the board!!! |

Manny, Sorry to contribute to this overflowing melting pot of opinions, but I happen to think you did pretty fair job of eliminating stuff--while trying not to be too Nazi-like, if you will... I would never petition you to eliminate threads that I simply disliked or that were not up to my personal expectations regarding relevance. However, I do appreciate your putting an end to the flagrant, unabashedly racist profanities. |

Thanks to all of you for your help in cleaning up. It is hard to make everyone happy sometimes so all the final decisions rest on me. I will try my best to stay on top of things, but frankly, without you, the regulars, this would be impossible to do My thanks to all you contribuitors and active discussioners :-) |

Jonathan, I hope you're not referring to ME as "nazi-like", I simply thought that some of those titles were a little out of place, particularly things like "FREE HEMP". Now really, what in the WORLD does that have to do with tipping?! I'm not petitioning to "eliminate threads that I simply disliked or that were not up to my personal expectations regarding relevance" And I DO think that Manny has done a wonderful job cleaning up the board, but I just don't see the point in titles like "What to tip a Rocket Scientist" and "Tipping Hollywood legends", they're obviously someone's idea of a joke. Besides, I was just SUGGESTING! (BTW, I haven't scrolled through and read each of these threads, I was mentioning things on title alone. I have niehter the time or patience, nor do I really care enough to spend the time digging through these threads for the golden nugget about tipping that may or may not be buried there). Again, I hope I'm mistaken and that your post wasn't directed at me, but seeing as though it comes directly after mine, I don't see who else you could be talking about... |

Okay, I have gone through the board a few times and cleaned up as much as I could. There are over 2000 messages and it is hard to select the sampling rate best suited for the task. I went over the list that Serialkitten drew up and I agreed with most of it. I left a couple that I felt were okay. PLEASE keep me posted as much as you want to on bad/odd/off topic posts. Thank you. Dale, I "heard" you :-) Thank you for the kind words. |

The Website has moved to a new home. I apologize for all the trouble. We were shut down by the System Admins of the old server. They claimed the forum was eating up CPU cycles... They did not even warn me! In a democracy, we can simply choose to go elsewhere. I appreciate your patience during the transition period. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please let me know right away! |

My ISP has informed me that the discussions forum might be causing problems for the server. The Discussions board might be down intermittently from time to time until we get this resolved |

I am sorry for all the problems with the site. There were numerous technical issues with the ISP we were using and then the other two we used were also problematic. This last one hopefully will be more resilient and better able to handle the extra load we are generating because of the newfound popularity! Thank you to all those who were patient and understanding during the outage! |

Please refrain from using foul language and from personal attacks. They are not tolerated here and your post will be deleted or edited for content. If it is bad enough, your IP and your message will be forwarded to your ISP or Corporate IT Staff to deal with it. I can assure you most ISP's and Corporations do not tolerate or condone such behaviour so please don't do it. Thank you. |

The board is now locked down. Except for the test area, all other messages must come from registered users. Please try to remember the board is not intended for drawn out personal attacks or such postings that could be considered offensive. All postings may be edited or deleted at my discretion for no reason whatsoever. However, be prepared to endure anything since someone cannot convey feelings in email, you may infer a different meaning than originally intended. The rules are: If you read it as the recipient and it sounds offensive, it is. Don't post it. Thank you |
